Both on arrival and departure. You must declare any amount of cash you are carrying to customs officers.

How to declare cash on arriving Uzbekistan

You must declare cash on customs declaration form in two copies, and give both copies to the customs officers at the boundary or airport.

If less than 5K…

Use T-6 customs declaration form for declaring cash equivalent up to 5000 US Dollars. You can obtain and complete T-6 customs declaration form at the boundary or airport, or you can download and print it by following this link.

Customs officers will check and confirm the declaration. Remember (!) Take one copy of the stamped declaration form with you and keep it until you leave the country. The other copy will be kept at the customs office.

If more than 5K…

Cash equivalent to more than 5000 US Dollars must be declared in two copies on ТС-28 certificate form that you may obtain from customs officers. Leave both copies of the form at the customs office.

Customs officers may ask you to present the cash you have declared. It’s therefore important to declare the exact amount you carry.

You may be fined if you fail to declare the money or if you give incomplete or false information.

How much cash can I bring out of Uzbekistan?

Very simple, not more than you have actually carried in.

On leaving Uzbekistan, you may carry out the amount of cash that do not exceed the amount you have already declared on T-6 declaration form on arrival.

You must have a stamped copy of the declaration form with you, which you filled in on arrival.

How to declare cash on leaving Uzbekistan?

At the airport or a boundary, simply fill in a new declaration form as you have done it on arrival. But now declare the exact amount you are carrying out.

Give the filled declaration form along with the form you have filled in on arrival to the customs officers. And here works math.  Customs officers will check both forms and they may also ask you to present the cash you have declared. It’s therefore important to declare the exact amount you carry.

You may be fined if you fail to declare the money or if you give incomplete or false information.

In order to carry out more cash than it was imported, you must have special permission from the Central Bank of Uzbekistan.
